I find this camera to be superior in most ways when compared to the other cameras in its price range. The slight deficiencies of the HX1 are minimized when one takes into account the unique features not available in its competitors.  The picture quality when using natural lighting is stunning. The Hx1 makes it easy to take low light pictures with its anti blur features but does not completely satisfy in more then moderately low light. The option of the anti blur does not disappoint.  I am more then pleased with the zoom abilities of the HX1. It does not merely zoom it captures pictures in zoom with awesome clarity. I compared this camera to at least 10 other cameras always coming back to this one because it contained the best features and more of the features I desired all in one camera.  Other cameras may have more Mega pixels or be less expensive but when compared feature to feature the Hx1 collectively is better when you look at the "bigger picture".  The HX1 is easy to navigate when changing settings.  The 3 ich LCD screen makes reviewing pictures easy. 

Summary:

I bought this to take pictures of my active three year old and great dane.
I recommend this camera to someone willing to do a little reading to learn how to make the most of its features.
Users who are not accustomed to having a camera of this caliber shouldn't have a problem with the HX1 it is a point when all said and done.
The Hx1 offers a combination of features not found in any other camera.
I can take pictures of objects in the distance with ease and clarity.
When using the video mode the camera zoom is somewhat slow but maintains picture quality.
Would like to have had a remote control for it.
Is not a pocket sized camera but is easy to bring along with the shoulder strap.
