The excellent Carl Zeiss 5x optical zoom lens gives you more range than most other point and shoots, and the large 2.7-inch LCD screen makes viewing your photos a joy. The Sony Cybershot DSC-W170 also includes a useful 16:9 shooting mode, making your photos look great on an HDTV. In fact, you can directly hook the camera up to a Sony Bravia television and view your photos, sans a PC!

I would definitely recommend this camera to anyone especially moms who want a camera with them at all times! It fits easily into my purse or bag, and very sturdy!
I looked and looked for a small camera that would be easy to carry around with me at all times. I have 2 kids and you never know when you might need a camera. I was looking for a SMALL camera that would fit easily into my purse or diaper bag. The next step was a good camera that would take awesome photos!! Well, I made the RIGHT decision. I couldn't be more please with my choice. The many different types of pictures that can be taken with this camera is great! I love the "Smile" finder feature! The neat thing is that you can program the camera to finds kids smiles over adults, vice versa, or any smiles. The fact that night time pictures also come out so clearly is great! The backgrounds of the picture as well as the person or item in the picture is so clear. Reviewing the pictures on the camera is very simple. I am able to go through my pictures during down time and select the ones I want to keep without any hassle. I did have a bit of trouble the first time I tried to get my pictures on my computer, because the memory stick did not fit, but the adapter that comes with the camera made it fit my computer.
