Believe it or not, the tiny Sony Cybershot DSC-W170 houses an incredible 10.1 megapixel sensor, giving you the ultimate in resolution and detail. The excellent Carl Zeiss 5x optical zoom lens gives you more range than most other point and shoots, and the large 2.7-inch LCD screen makes viewing your photos a joy. The Sony Cybershot DSC-W170 also includes a useful 16:9 shooting mode, making your photos look great on an HDTV. In fact, you can directly hook the camera up to a Sony Bravia television and view your photos, sans a PC!

Pros: Solid menus and settings - excellent macro photos - small, light and easy to use
Cons: Cannot find photo numbering reset - body finish too smooth - viewfinder meaningless
This camera is built solidly, works crisply and takes the kind of photos to be expected for this kind of photo device.
I'd say, stop complaining and use more creativity to get better shots out of point-and-shoot cameras... for what the W170 costs, and what a 10MP DSLR cost as recently as 2004 (can anyone say -- $4000 [D2h... DX1, et al] give or take?)
Work at it. Be grateful for what you have
