Pros:  looks nice, can't skip, batteries last forever, cool slide-in loading.

Cons: headphones kinda get tugged on by remote

The Bottom Line:
Overall, this is an awesome system. Most of my gripes are small and hopefully won't stop you from checking out this awesome system.

This is truly a beautiful portable CD player. It's has a metal housing that I've always found appealing. I just don't care for the feel or look of plastic systems. It also has has some of the best sound quality found on a CD Walkman.

Sound
I use a set of Sony MDR-EX70 very compact, and it sounds very much like my home system. I just lay back at 30,000 feet and zone out. If you don't own a set of these headphones and you travel frequently I would strongly urge you to look into them. They get rid of a lot of background noise like engines and such. Ok, enough about my headphones. The sound of the CD player seems crystal clear to me. I don't hear any hissing or buzzing at all even with the units volume all the way up. I don't think you'll find better sound on a portable CD system.

Appearance
It's a beauty to look at. I'm always getting compliments on it. There are a few things I wish it had. I would've liked see a display on the unit itself as opposed to just the remote. I guess it got left out to keep the size down. It feels durable despite it's small size. The front load slide-in disc loading is kind of a love/hate thing with me. I don't like to put the systems in the carrying cases they give me. I just want to stick it in my pocket and go. Not a good idea with this unit. I find that pocket lint likes the unit as much as I do. I have a feeling I will have to get this unit cleaned much more frequently than I did with other units I've owned. The remote itself is pretty stylish. It's backlit display provide all the info you need to operate the unit. Actually this is the method of operation I think it was designed for. The buttons on the sides of the system aren't laid out as well as I would've liked. Forget about fumbling in your pocket and trying to find Forward or Rewind. I guess just one more reason why I should have it in a case and rely on the remote.

G-Protection
I have no complaints here. I've made mad dashes from one end of O'Hare to the other and still haven't had it skip to any noticeable degree. It did jump once or twice, but that could have been from my CD.

Batteries
I really hate the bubble gum batteries they've been using lately, I like the normal AA or AAA. throw 'em away and forget about 'em. It does allow you to use AA to get up to 60+ hours. I just wish they could have been put in the main system without needing extra housing for them. Another reason to use the remote.

Overall, this is an awesome system. Most of my gripes are small and hopefully won't stop you from checking out this awesome system. I figured I'd put it all in, the good the bad...no ugly here. I truly love this system and look forward to many years of use from it.
