(after reading the opinion i've given to all you guys, could you rate it please? Thanks - it just lets me know what I can do to make it better.. :)

The D-EJ01 by Sony makes an introduction. At a fast BOOM it rocketed its way onto the many headlines. "New Slim-Line body and 20th Anniversary "present", the Slide-In Disc Loading Mechanism" and unbeatable battery life all prove to me, and many others, that this Walkman is really worth it!

I bet many of you reading these reviews are wondering, just to get it clear, it is the 20th Anniversary model - or so it SAYS on the stylish top-of-the-line Sony black box it came in...

To get started and to be quick:

The Body- The body is magnesium die-cast, which means it is pretty much undestructible. "Magnesium?" doesnt that burn easy? Well, yes it does. "Magnesium DIE CAST", nope - not a problem! This new hard and very thin and reliable body shell is Sony's top of the line chasis, and better than any other CD play out there. (Those Panisonic Metal Shockwaves - HA! Outdated long ago).

Remote - This is just as cool as the slide-in. Its circular, unlike any others, NOT bulky as any picture may show, VERY handy. (I've NEVER used the buttons on the walkman itself!), and the ORANGE luminous back glow STILL gets attention from even people I dont know! Thats right, ORANGE. "Isn't only blue the back glow out?" Well, for the many, many cd players (including lower Sony), Blue IS the only color. But, this 20th anniversary HAS to be unique and different from any other! Another handy handy cool fact - the remote has THREE lines of display. And when the top isn't displaying the volume (for what, 3 seconds! Not long at all), if you're CD has "Cd Text", IT WILL DISPLAY IT! Not, WHAT portable can handle this?

Functions- The functions are very simple and un complicating. On the body you will have you're BASIC four buttons. "Play, Stop, Volume (up and down), and Track (forward backward;fast, rewind)". (The stop button is also used for the charge - i'll get to them sweet little batteries later) Towards the left of the volume button is the tiny batter compartment lock. The Remote jack is in the front, towards the right. Behind that is the slide-in loading handle. VERY neat and cool to play with! Right behind that is the optical output for easy and very handy digital recording. (OUTPUT, that means only out to another source. Such as a Minidisc). Begind that is the battery recharge/AC adapter, and it also serves as the expanded battery life adapter.

Battery(s!)- There are two very slim orange/black battery in the compartment. This is easily accesed through the front, NOT inside. They hold 25 hours. Thats pretty good for rechargables!!! (It only takes 3 or less hours to recharge them). If you ever run out of life in the rechargables (note: they ARE supplied), go ahead and use the cool alluminum circular and long battery (Double "a" battery, uses two), adapter. With the 25 hours already used, you can listen non stop from 0-62! hours of music! Thats the highest portable cd player out there!!! (Sony is comming out with a not-as-cool cd player (walkman) that will give you 68 hours later, but who cares!)

Where I bought my walkman, I also recieved a cool black carrying case. This holds the walkman, remote, batterites, and battery-expansion.

I dont know what else to tell you guys! If I didn't answer anything, then email me! neptun15@hotmail.com ASK QUESTIONS if you feel unanswered!!! I'll help!
