In Resident Evil 4 you'll know a new type of horror, as the classic survival-horror action returns with all-new characters, controls and storylines. We last saw Leon S. Kennedy in Resident Evil 2 - a rookie cop in Raccoon City, fighting to stay alive. That was six years ago. Since then, government forces have managed to control the zombie threat and Leon has become a Federal agent. When the President's daughter is kidnapped, Leon tracks her to a remote, hidden fortress in Europe - where he'll relive the horror he faced six years before. Players will face never-before-seen enemies that make Nemesis seem like a kitten. You'll be wishing for the usual Resident Evil zombies!

Pros: Great graphics, gameplay, actually scary, variety of guns and weapons, just a blast to play!
Cons: Um, let me think, ummmm. Well there's that uhhh...JUST FORGET IT THERE IS NO FLAWS!!!
The Bottom Line:
The bottom line is that you should buy this game if you haven't already. It's one of the best games I've ever played in my life.
Story 5/5 Okay, here's the story. The president's daughter has been stolen by a mysterious European cult and a government agent by the name of Leon Scott Kennedy, has to go and save her. When he gets there he founds out this country is infected by a parasite called Los Plagas. Later he gets Ashley back but doesn't have a way to get out of the village. Leon soon meets the leader of the cult, Osmund Saddler. When they finally find the door out of the village, it has a retinal scanner and the only one who can open it is the village leader, Bitores Mendez. Leon has to fight him and kill him. When Leon does kill him, they leave the village and enter a castle. Leon soon finds out this castle belongs to a man named Ramon Salazar. Ramon is serving Saddler because his ancestors sealed up the Los Plagas. Ramon feels like he should owe Saddler. When Leon and Ashley are halfway through the castle Ashley gets kidnapped by a bug like creature called the Novistador. Leon finally kills Ramon when he and one of his minions fuse with a plant like thing. Leon then has to go to an island where Ashley is being held. Leon meets up with a person he used to know called Jack Krauser. They fight and Leon kills him. Leon saves Ashley and kills Saddler and they escape from the island. This story kept me on the edge of my seat and kept many others as well.
Sound 4/5 The only real music that's in here is the combat music and the credit music. The sound effects in this game sound so real it's scary. My favorite sound effect must be one you met the El Gigante and he roared. It was also a very cool sound effect when El Gigante fell to the ground. One of the very annoying sound effects is when Ashley is being stolen and she screams "LEON, HEEEEELP!" Overall the sound effects are amazing and the music keeps the game scary.
Gameplay 5/5 The gameplay is very fun and easy. All the action takes place in an over the shoulder view. You can move with the d-pad or left analog stick. You take out your gun with R1 and then press the X button to shoot. When you use the sniper rifle, you use the right analog stick to zoom in and zoom out. During some cut-scenes you have to press L1 + R1 or X + SQUARE to avoid objects or attacks. Sometimes you use d-pad or right analog stick to scroll an X to select. You may have trouble in the beginning with using L1 to take out your gun, but eventually it'll become a second nature. You also might have trouble at first being fast enough to hit the button combinations in the cut scenes. Overall the gameplay is sweet and fast and also very easy to pick up.
Graphics 5/5 The graphics in this game are breathtaking. From the blood and gore to rapids to explosions. It's all awesome! Everything in the game just looks better than the older RE's. Overall the graphics are a bit better on the Gamecube version but they're still top-notch on the PS2 version.
Replay Value 4/5 By replaying the game you can unlock more figures, more weapons, and... well, over half of you out there are going replay it anyway, so why bother?
