These Studio Monitor Series headphones incorporate high-end materials and advanced engineering to produce critically clean, exceptionally clear sound for professional and high fidelity applications. Swivel earcups enable single-sided monitoring for DJ and remix applications. Listen to house sound with one ear while you cue up the next track with the other. An auto return swivel mechanism brings the earcups back to the standard listening position, giving you one less thing to worry about. The 50 mm diameter drive units deliver reference-grade sound and enable superior power handling with deeper bass, lower distortion and wider dynamic range. The frequency response extends down to an extraordinary 5 Hz. 3000 mW power handling means these headphones can handle the most stringent professional applications, standing up to day-in, day-out use at very high output levels. Really Good Headphones

Author's Rating: Rating: 5/5 stars

Pros: Great Sound Quality. Keeps out most sounds. Comfy for the first couple of hours.

Cons: PRICE.

The Bottom Line:
I repeat, these headphones I would only recommend for DJs. They're not made to be comfortable but they are. Great compact ability. The sound quality is great!

I got my headphones cheap at Best Buy with my discount. Otherwise they're 129.99. I recommend these headphones to anyone wanting to DJ or already DJing. I would not recommend it for just regular music use. Only because after awhile of use they don't feel very comfortable.

These headphones are really good looking. What's more is the sound quality with these headphones are great! You can hear everything clearly. It blocks out most or all sounds coming from your bedroom or at a show. Bass can be heard very nicely as opposed to distorted. The highs(:p) don't really sound as good as they probably could be. They're not awful, though, either.

Its funny but its sort of like playing with a transformer the way they fold up to be compact, saving room. It also includes a nifty little carry bag for them. Protect your investment with it. You probably won't want another pair of headphones again after you try these (being a DJ of course). If you can afford them, then get them. I'm very satisfied with my product. Especially since SONY is such a good name. TVS, PS2, and just all kinds of audio stuff. So give them a try.

The comfort level has risen since my purchase. I use them a little more each day. They just itch a little. I upgraded my last opinion on the comfort level, also.

I beat the record! Just kidding. I was able to wear them for 3 hours and not feel a thing until I took them off. Then my ears just itched. Which felt good to do, so it wasn't bad. Only for like a couple seconds. On top of that, I scared myself bad. I was listening to U.N.K.L.E. (DJ Shadow & James Lavelle) and I thought someone was in my alley way with all the weird noises. The headphones push sound through so good. It makes you think someone is right there.
