These Studio Monitor Series headphones incorporate high-end materials and advanced engineering to produce critically clean, exceptionally clear sound for professional and high fidelity applications. Swivel earcups enable single-sided monitoring for DJ and remix applications. Listen to house sound with one ear while you cue up the next track with the other. An auto return swivel mechanism brings the earcups back to the standard listening position, giving you one less thing to worry about. The 50 mm diameter drive units deliver reference-grade sound and enable superior power handling with deeper bass, lower distortion and wider dynamic range. The frequency response extends down to an extraordinary 5 Hz. 3000 mW power handling means these headphones can handle the most stringent professional applications, standing up to day-in, day-out use at very high output levels. Pros: Comfy, great quality and sound, good looking, overall awesome

Cons: Finish can scratch if you don't watch it, very big but not too bad

Author's Review
I bought these phones because I just got a new MD player and Stereo, and wanted some quality
when I listened to them privately. So I rounded up 105 bucks and bought these awesome headphones.
Bottom Line-They are my pride and joy, one of the nicest and most quality things I own.
They are a bit big and heavy, but are cool-looking, futuristic-techno, and pamper your ears
with leatherette ear pads that are so soft, and a nice big headband. Don't let ANYONE tell you
they are low quality, that the headband sucks; take it from me, it doesn't. It seems perfectly
well padded and feels great on anyone, and all my friends love listening to it. It really
blew me away when I first got them and listened to them, since the sound quality is phenomenal.
If you want to blow $14,000 getting super-hyper-Denon-electrostatic-30-pound-freak-headphones, go
right ahead but this is enough sound for any normal person, and its frequency range and sound,
as well as the drivers, are identical to the pricier MDR-V900, just their earpads have a different
design, and don't have the amorphous diaphragms, but who needs those? They have the best and most
intriguing styling of any headphones I've ever seen, a real jaw dropper. The only flaw is that
they are so big, it's hard to keep them around your neck, but you can do it still. Just watch
out since the silver finish can get scratched off if you are careless. Otherwise, you are not
truly listening to music if you are using the 6.99 headphones that came with your walkman. The
quality is not there, you are wasting your time if you are not using these headphones. Buy now
and enjoy some great sound and comfort!
