Author's Review
Along with buying my iRiver Mp3 Player, I decided to buy some new headphones since I had fixed my last pair for the last time after many wire chewing sessions by the cat. My last pair was Kenwood KPM-310. They are semi-professional headphones, so I wouldn't be spending as much for my new pair.

Sony is a good name in audio and I trust them, so I decided to go with them. There are so many different models of headphones they produce ranging from $5 - $800+! For my price range, the MDR-V300's seemed like a good choice. They aren't professional grade, but also not made for a novice.

The Sony MDR-V300's come with a gold plated adapter, and the headphones themselves. In listening to music on them for the first time, I was extremely disappointed, but it might have been the song because now I think they are better than my Kenwoods. The headphones produce a lot of what I think of as simulated or over-emphasized bass. They don't have the size the actually produce the actual bass, so I'm figuring it is overboosting the bass levels. If you have your volume up, it can become distorted because of this so you might have to lower your bass levels. Not a big complaint at all - I think these are great headphones. They also look good with their silver finish. They also flex in about 8 different ways. I guess this is useful if you want a quick listen using one ear. Other than that it just takes longer for me to put them on because I have to unfold it all.
