Pros: Lightweight, great overall sounds, clear crisp bass, versatile, comfortable, affordable.
Cons: None that I can think of.
Picked these up about a year ago, strictly as personal headphones for my discman, and was impressed immediately. Clean, crisp bass, and damn, they get loud, even with the discman.
They have great earcups that aren't too large, but large enough to drown out all but the loudest noise. Very comfortable too, although after a few hours, you may need to give your ears a breather.
The hard plastic is very attractive, and lightweight, making them great for casual use. They also included a nice high quality adaptor.
As for versatility, I found myself lacking headphones for my show one week, and used these instead. I was VERY impressed. Crisp, clear sound, and I wasn't able to drown out the sound at high exterior monitor levels. For the beginner DJ, these would do the trick, as they also have the swivelling earpiece. Don't get me wrong, if you're playing a club, the V600's are the way to go, but for normal, non ear damaging DJ use, these will easily do the trick.
To top it off, they were extremely cheap in comparison to some other brands, and even the different levels within Sony's selection.
Overall, a near perfect package.
