The city is at risk, and only you can save it from the evil clutches of an old enemy: the powerful Electro. He has a mysterious new device that will make his million volts of destruction even more deadly. But, with Spider-Man on the job, Electro is in for the shock of his life. Sandman and other villains in a nefarious scheme to bring the city to its knees have joined Electro. The all-new costumes are not only fashionable, theyre functional. The Insulated Armor will make you impervious to electricity dont even try to fight without it. Create-A-Spider lets you equip Spidey with the right tools for the right job by mixing and matching suits and powers. And Spideys got a brand new bag of tricks, including Ice and Taser-Webbing.

Spider Man 2 for PS2
| Author's Rating: |

Pros: Decent story, good graphics, more freedom
Cons: repetitive after a while, lots of button combos
The Bottom Line:
Spider Man 2 is a fun game to play if you watched the movies and enjoy spider man in general.
This game combines a decent story, fairly good graphics, and more freedom than ever before into one fun, fast-paced adventure. The story of the game is set in Manhattan, where you battle petty crooks, crazy villians, and difficult challenges until you finally come out on top. The graphics are much better than the first game, as well as the seemingly endless freedoms. You can go anywhere at any time and do whatever you want (you don't even have to follow the story line until you want to). Along with amazing gameplay, there are a lot of unlockable goodies like extra costumes and moves that make the game even more incredible. The challenges that you can attempt to unlock these different bonuses range in skill levels from very easy to incredibly hard. Even though they are fun to try, I don't think that it is possible to beat the hardest level unless you could play as well as the computer. The fighting in the game is fun, but you have to remember a lot of different button combinations to do different moves. It gets a little frustrating after a while because it is really easy to forget them. I recommend this game to any Spider-Man fan, young or old.
