Techno Beats and Backspin Shots
| Author's Rating: |

Pros: Awesome online play. Great soundtrack. Easy learning curve, but lots of depth. Rallies are superfun!
Cons: Limited amount of modes. No create a player. No four player. Characters are very un-interesting.
The Bottom Line:
If you like to have intense matches with a friend get this game. If you love lots of modes then this game is not for you.
I booted up this game not really knowing what to expect. I've played one ping-pong videogame before. It was called pong and it was the first videogame ever. I started up a match, and was immediately able to control the character, barely knowing what any of the buttons do. As you learn the controls, the game play becomes pretty deep, using different types of spin for the best outcome.
The best part about this game is the rallies. Techno music bumps, as the rally gets more intense. This results in complete immersion in the rally. When a good rally is over you're left with a wonderful feeling of accomplishment.
My only problem with this game is that there is no create a player. That would be the icing on the cake for this game because all the characters you chose from are pretty lame. It would be really awesome if you could make yourself and take on the ping-pong nation playing as the one and only you.
This game is a bargain, 20 dollars less then the regular Xbox 360 titles. This is a great incentive to buy this game. Although you do get what you pay for. It is a no-frills ping-pong game with limited modes, only single player and 2 player. Sorry if you wanted to play doubles, no go there. Online play is tons of fun, as is two player. Get this game if you like classic multiplayer games with a modern spin.
