Unreal stunned action gamers when it was released, thanks to its lush alien environments, scripted mission events, and over-the-top complement of weapons. It raised the bar for first-person shooters both in terms of technology and single-player gameplay, and now you can experience this futuristic action- adventure for less than 10 bucks. Unreal may be old, but you would never know it by looking at the graphics. They still stand as some of the most stunning visuals ever put in an action game, and best those of many newer games we've played. Unreal 's only real stumbling block is its uninspired gameplay, which relies too much on standard "find the key" puzzles. The game is challenging regardless--most of the enemies are smart--and we found ourselves pressing ahead just to see what sort of beautiful, strange new environment we would end up in next. We also had a lot of fun playing deathmatch games against the computer-controlled "bots," which put up a heck of a fight. The artificial intelligence

You want a good game to play when you are absolutely blind drunk? Buy this one, then.
You're in a religious altar to a god you don't believe in, pursued by millions of little spider type things and all of a sudden theres a large squid hugging your face and sapping your life force. If you can cope with that little encounter you can cope with Unreal, possibly the scariest game ever to grace my monitor.
This is the story. Yo are a prisoner on a prison ship (a la Red Dwarf) heading for a prison moon, when your ship goes down, crashing onto a hostile planet, right inside a district called NyLeve's Falls. You explore, only to be confronted with a large green thing, which prmptly runs off. All it leaves behind is its weapon.
The graphics are great, and that'sevident from when you first start the game, with the grand, dark intro swooping around an old pirate castle. Then you start the game, go into the outdoors and see how good PC graphics can be. And this is without a Voodoo card!!! Look ma, no 3D card!
The sound is good as well, with a very high bass level. If you want a half decent sound system, go for Quake. IF YOU WANT AN EXCELLENT SOUND SYSTEM, GO FOR UNREAL.
All in all, this is a great game. Be your currency euro or lira, £ or $, buy this game. Go on. Now. Go to Amazon and buy it. You know you want to.
