World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade takes up where World of Warcraft left off, with the races of the Horde and the Alliance continuing to rebuild their lives among the shattered lands of Azeroth. World of Warcaft otherwise known as WoW is a massive multiplayer online role playing game. I've been a gamer for about 10 years now, and Blizzard by far headlines the gaming industry in my mind.
If you've never played or seen this game before, first you start by making a character. You have the choice of Alliance (human) or Horde (Orc).
The Alliance has a choice of Humans, Night Elves, Dwarves, Gnomes and Draenei.
The Horde has a choice of Orcs, Tauren, Undead, Trolls and Blood Elves.
From there you pick male/female and class type. There are nine available classes to choose from: Druid, Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock, and Warrior. Depending on your playing style, from in your face (warrior, shaman, druid and pally) to more strategic (rogue) to the sneak powerful attack (mage, warlock) or the helpful one for healing (priest).
The great thing about this game is you play at your pace, you play when you want, where you want and with who you want. You can level your character up to level 70, buy spells/talent, do quests to get gold and items or even do what they call a raid where you team up with 24 other players and take on huge monsters.
This game really is about strategy, teamwork, thought and fun. You can do virtually anything you want in the game. You can be a PVP player which is going into games and fighting other 'real life" players, you can simply be a craftsman by tailor, blacksmithing, jewelcrafting, engineering or leatherworking. Most do a little of it all which leaves you with endless amounts of fun and something new everyday!
