Intercooler NEW - POLISHED You obtain: higher output higher torque higher efficiency an investment in the output maximum cooling capacity by a large cooling surface maximum cold storing by a large cold mass minimum counterpressure, thus less load on the turbocharger and less heating of the charge air. Fields of Application The intercooler is an essential element of every turbocharged engine as well as of G40 or G60 from which it is desired to obtain a still larger output. Since the intercooler built in the turbocharged engines cannot be reduced to a respectable level, it is necessary to build in a large intercooler, thus cooling the air. Reducing the temperature of the charge air causes an output increase of 3 to 6 %. This represents the relevance of a larger intercooler when wishing to increase the efficiency of your car. According to the outside temperature, the charge air can be cooled down up to 40 to 55°C (output increase of 12 to 33 %). The higher the charge air temperature, the higher is the turbocharger pressure and, thus, the lower is the density, leading to a rapid output loss. This is prevented by the intercooler. It decreases the high temperatures caused by the charging and provides a higher output, a larger torque, higher efficiency, a lower counterpressure by less load, and less heating of the charge air by a better filling. This means a large output increase. For this, our intercooler provides the best conditions. By its stable aluminium construction it shows resistance even in output increased motors in which the turbocharged pressure is increased. The connections on its sides are perfectly welded and thus do not let the pressure escape. Not only the charge air is cooled down, but, as a beneficial side effect, also the complete engine bay because the throttle valve respectively the fuel injection system is flown through.
