A handheld version of Namco's venerated fighting series, this PSP game is based on the arcade expansion to Tekken 5. Dark Resurrection features over 30 characters, including Dragonuv and Lili, the two new characters that were added for the Dark Resurrection arcade update. Also making the trip over from the arcade are new stages, themselves based off the original Tekken 5 stages, but with climate and time effects as well as new background objects, totalling 19 stages. Namco has a few additions exclusively for the PSP version as well. Look forward to new game modes, including time attack, practice and mini games, while ad-Hoc wireless play allows for multplayer bouts. Namco hopes to add new items to the game, perfect for creating custom characters prior to a match.

Now, a new Tekken game has been released that will surely make a big hit for fighting game's fans. This time the new Tekken game will be released in Playstion Portable(PSP). Tekken: Dark Resurrection, is a sequel from the content and characters of Tekken 5. Adding more classy fighters, more exciting moves, new environment and background effects, new customization options and more other features.
The Gameplay
Players who are familiar with the Tekken series won't have a problem in exploring the game menu, they are much the same from the previous games. The arcade mode lets you unlock special endings. Every character has its own animated ending videos, that you can collect by playing that character up to the last boss. The practice mode is the best place to learn the basic controls in the game. You can also choose an enemy to fight with and practice the combo of your selected character. Other modes include team battles, time attack, and a quick battle that lets you pick your first opponent. Versus mode is still available with the use of an ad hoc connection, it will let you fight with other players in seperate console. One of its feature is that you can merge your rankings with other players, with this you can compare your stats with them.
Characters
The battle itself is the same as the previous Tekken 5 game, but there are three new characters included. Armor King returns to the lineup of former characters plus the other two all-new characters. One of the special character is Lili, she is a rich girl with street-fighting skills. The other one is Dragunov, a Russian and a member of the special forces operative who fights in a sambo style with plenty of deadly blows. Both of the new characters fit right into the lineup and seem as deep and interesting as the rest of the cast. Unlike most of Tekken games, Tekken: Dark Resurrection starts with the complete cast of 34 characters available. The player won't have to dig through story mode multiple times to get all of the available fighters.
Other Cool Features
In most of the game modes, you can earn points for winning a battle. You can take those points you've collected to customize the character's appearance, just like in Tekken 5. There is a wide variety of features and colors to purchase, like new glasses and hairstyles and other exciting stuff that you can see in the game. The ghosts of beaten character carry these items, so you can give them a new customized look that you prefer.
Game Music
The game has plenty of outstanding background music that plays while you are fighting. There is also a theater mode, where you can listen to the game music anytime you want. Sound effects of Tekken 5 was still retained which make punches and kicks sound more realistic and hard.
