Pros: AA batteries, long battery life, many useful settings and options.
Cons: Long camera lag, especially with flash.

Highly recommend this camer. It is very easy to use. It has great settings for the beginner photographer. It takes great pictures in different settings and light.
This is a great camera. It fits well in the hand and has a lot of wonderful features. My first shots were taken of flowers in Florida using different settings to experiment with them and took professional level photos. It is easy to use and is well worth the money. I have had other Canon digital cameras that cost a lot more money that were not as easy to use, didn't take as good of pictures and didn't have as many features.
I love all of the settings and options and especially like the image stabilizer as I tend to have shaky hands. The camera even tells me when I am shaking to much which helps with better picture quality.
The battery is not propriatary and the camera uses AA batteries, so there is never a battery issue. The SD card makes it easy to store the photos as well.
The only thing that I do not like is the long camera lag.
However, I have taken the best pictures I have ever taken with this camera and find it easy and fun to use. I am an avid scrapbooker and prefer published story books. The pictures I have taken with this camera are perfect for my story books.
