This camera has all the bells and whistles that you need in a small compact point and shoot. For the more technical ones: it has M, AV, TV and P modes to help you set your own settings. Images are incredibly crisp up to 200 ISO. This camera can go all the way to 1600 ISO if you really need it to. It has a nice 4x optical zoom which doesn't distort the images too much. The macros are fantastic if lined up correctly and the manual focus is a must have for any professional. As a secondary camera for any photo enthusiast this camera is a must. As a first camera for any amateur photographer this camera is a great starter because it uses the Digic III processor which is also used by the more expensive Canon SLRs.
The image stabilizer is a very nice add-on that Canon is introducing in most of their cameras and it does a very good job especially in low light situations where your hand shakes a lot.
This is the cheapest point and shoot you can get that has all these packed features. The camera is small enough to go in your pocket or purse and the dark gray finish is a very nice touch.
