The 12-megapixel pana lumix DMC-ZR1 is a well designed camera that performs well.
It has a 8X optical zoom does a great job but not as well as the 12X panasonic.It has a intelligent auto mode for normal basic shots,29 scene modes,optical imaging stabilization and a nice size 2.7 inch LCD
screen.
Some of the features that I like a zoom lens that goes to 25mm on the wide angel,fast auto focus on video mode and a few different scene modes.
The lens zoom is very quiet and you can zoom in and out while filming
not common in point and shot cameras.
I really like the video mode,the auto focus is real fast,clear and precise.
This camera is extremly well built and rugged for a point and shot.Its has all metal buttons and levers.
The image stabilazation is excellent at high ISO settings and fast shutter speeds.I also like the intelligent auto setting its always seems to find the correct settings for all my shots.
The ZR1 has just about everything I would need in a camera except for a HDMI or A/V out option that would be nice.
The Lumix ZR1 is a great all around camera that performs well ,easy to use and will meet your needs.
