Extract from the instruction manual: "Automatic Satellite Search If the red Power LED is lit, then the SAT Finder plus is ready for use and you can adjust the SAT mirror. It should not be turned or pushed to extreme levels; otherwise as with analogue SAT finder, it will easily miss a satellite. Tilt the satellite mirror vertically till the LEDs of the LEVEL indicator light up. A sufficiently strong signal (3 LEDs "on") is received, the SAT-Finder plus analyzes the found transponder which is indicated by blinking of MODE LED.
