The products in their sale were confirmed as being ordered with a delivery date given, when theyn did not arrive several day after the date given, i spent several hours trying to contact customer services ( from 08:00hrs to 17:00hrs) only to get a recorded message that all their operators were busy and the best time to contact them was betweeen the hours of 08:00 to 15:00 mon to fri. I finally contacted them the next day after several more tries. Only to be told that the internet was not updating quickly enough and that four of the five items i ordered were out of stock, and that a letter informing me of this was in the post. When asked why it took over ten days to inform me of this when they had my email address and could of easily informed using this method the answer i received was she did not know. This is the worse treatment i have received from any cataloogue i have ever used.

Received confirmation of my order very quickly on date of order (15/06/07). Item didn't arrive by suggested date of delivery, which was 26/06/07. Couldn't track order as it didn't appear on my account on web-site. Sent 2 e-mail messages, one on 26/06/07 and one on 28/06/07. Received automatic responses, but only received notification that item was out of stock on 29/06/07. Subsequently received (on 3/07/07) written confirmation item was out of stock by letter, dated 19/06/07, which had been sent 2nd class and had obviously been held up by postal stike. It would have been helpful if this order had appeared on my account, which would have meant I could have tracked it and seen that it was out of stock a good deal earlier. I may order from Great Universal again, but would hope that any further order would be trackable on the web-site. If I have another bad experience I will not use them again.

worst customer service ever...cannot talk to a person unless going onto the order line and insisting to be put through to customer service.No contact to say goods had sold out,even though this did not show on website.

I will never shop with this store again unless they actually give the products away. Order confirmation received, delivery date confirmed. The delivery date passed and no goods. Email sent to query non delivery. The slow reply simply advised the order was cancelled. Shocking communication. A website that displays goods as in stock and yet can't deliver. Worst online shopping experience ever!

My first order experience has not been very good, especially when i have been doing the chasing of my order and no one ever returning my calls to answer my questions. Eventually a replacement has been order, which is due to be delivered shortly, (i hope)

I ordered a DVD player with DivX, but when it arrived it did not have DivX so I e mailed Great Universal and they sorted out the problem and arranged to pick up the item, which they did immediately. It was easy to arrange with no problems and friendly replies, so Yes we shall definately be purchasing from Great Universal again.

On line the Mobile I wanted sowed no advert for a Network etc. When it arrived it was Virgin Network, there different to advertised. So still waiting for domeone to pick it up as i am returning it!

I was advised the delivery time would be 5-6 weeks and I haven't received the item yet. There is no information on the tracking page to say how much longer it will be. I am not very confident that I will receive this order.

I was very pleased to find that the stated price (£35) was reduced to £28 when I got my bill !
I did not expect to be sent a catalogue as I thought the benefit of on-line shopping was that you can see everything on screen.

My order was accepted then nothing happened for 10 days. When I emailed for information was given advice on completely wrong topic. After 2nd attempt was told an account could not be opened for me. No explanation why. Would've been helpful to know this info immediately. If I hadn't made contact they would never have bothered to contact me. Would not recommend this company to anyone.
