Ordered HP Color LaserJet 1500 three days before Good Friday (2004) on standard delivery (which was no delivery charge) taking I think 5 days. Delivery was made to me on the Thursday (took 2 days), more than happy with delivery; printer was delivered in one piece and working order - works fine, web site gives status of order and money is not taken from ones plastic till it's despatched. I chose John Lewis because of good price for item and they have an excellent name on Merseyside (Liverpool) at their store for after sales and customer support - I'm hoping I won't need that.

I have been ordering from John Lewis online for about two years now, and have purchaced items from vases, to photographs, to exercise equipment. Everytime the order has arrived on time and been expertly packed. On the one occation I needed to change an item the customer service people were fantastic, phoning my local branch for me to see if they had what I was after in stock and arranging it to be reserved for me! Simply excellent.

Ordering was fine, and delivery good. However, when a fault was discovered, the retailer referred to manufacturer (with carriage free) and would not take responsibility. After several calls, said they would arrange collection and delivery free. However, I ended up with a reconditioned replacement machine (Sony Playstation).
