The only thing that keeps this company afloat is it's prices. I've shopped from them before, and so have my friends, and not one person can give a good word about their service once the order has been ordered. Delays in shipment, hassles with proof of identity, part shipments, computer errors. There's always something going wrong.

I paid for '24hr express delivery'. It's holidays now so I can't count that, but they had 48hrs to get it here before the new year holidays began. Going by the tracking, the reason for the delay is that it's coming from France (I'm in London, UK)! They said it was in stock, which to me meant in stock in a place where it can be delivered within the time specified (i.e. England). France is not such a place. They have refunded my postage after I complained, but with no apology. It was less than a line of text just to tell me it has been refunded. It looks like a standard reply, so I suspect they are used to people complaining about this but they feel it's worth losing the odd few quid compared to the extra custom they get for falsely claiming items are in stock. Well they've lost my future custom and I hope yours too. Rant over!

I placed an order on the 8 December for a kodak easyshare (cx7430 i think it was) and printer, for a christmas present. On your site it stated it was in stock. A few days later i saw the delivery date had been pushed back, i did not worry unduly untill it got pushed back again this time untill 22 dec, i then contacted your coustomer services number to track my order and was told they could not garantee delivery before christmas i explained that when i looked on the site the item was in stock so on and so forth, getting no joy what so ever from the guy on the other end of the phone i asked if i could have the same package with the cx7530 and enquired if it was in stock and was told yes to both. The next five minutes amazed me as i was told your employee could not upgrade my order, cancel the exsisting order or garantee delivery of my order before christmas even though you site stated delivery before christmas if ordered before 23 dec. Having lost no trust in company at this point (i am aware mistakes are made) i reordered the CX7530 package at an extra cost of approx 100 pounds, only to find three days later the delivery date had gone back to the 22nd again. A few days later and i recieved HALF my order (still waiting for the rest by the way). A further phone call to your help desk on the 22nd made me aware that the lady THOUGHT the item would be in stock but could not be sure because the site had not been updated. Then with no other choice i changed the delivery address and am still waiting for delivery, the only other problem being i cant always garantee where i am going to be, so taking delivery is proving to be hard. So to cut a long story short im one hundred pounds down and my Partner only got half a christmas present this year. Imagine how i felt on christmas day watching her try not to look dissapointed.

My order has NOT been delivered. Noone has contacted me about this. I had to take the time to contact DHL and find that my parcel, 8 days after I was advised it had been sent out, was sitting at DHL in Vauxhall. I have now had to re-arrange delivery, giving them all the same details I submitted with my original order, to get it tomorrow. This is the first time a company has failed to deliver an item to my work address, which is open 7 days a week, 9am to 9pm. This is completely unacceptabl

Purchase was fine. I ordered on line on Thursday. We had a phone call early Friday confirming our order would be delivered on the folowing Monday. When I checked the website on Monday the order status was pending. When I rang customer service I was told that I hadn't confirmed the order by e-mail - despite receiving confirmation, and not being asked for it so wouldn't receive it that day (despite having waited in). So went on holiday without one!

Website is totally useless - it seemed to not want to take my order and it kept redirecting me to other pages in French and I ain't French. It took me 3 days to finally get through to the proper pages where I could actually submit my payment and order. I will not buy anything else from this website nor will I recommend Pixmania.

When purchasing the zen player I was not told at any point that this was out of stock. I was buying it as a Christmas present for my husband so needed it that week. When I had a look back at the website after ordering I looked at the order tracker only to find that it was not in stock. I called the customer services to cancel only to be told that this had happened a few times and that the money had already gone out so I would have to wait until Wednesday (3 working days) for my money back. This I think is totally unacceptable. I managed to find an alternative supplier, savastore.com who sent the item on Monday & I received it on Tuesday in plenty of time for Chrismas. Their service was fantastic & I would use them again.

I initially was a big fan, but after they couldnt ship a order on time (which they stated) I cancelled it. 1 1/2 month later still waiting for an re-embursment. Really dissapionted.

I purchased the camera on line on 3rd June expecting delivery within 24 hours as it was listed as being in stock. On 6th June I contacted Customer Services to be told it was out of stock and offering reimbursement. I replied I would rather wait if I could be offered some sort of deal. I was offered and accepted free delivery anticipated to be in 8 to 10 days. ie by 21st June. On 18th June I checked the progress of the order to find it was still not in stock. I raised a query with Customer Services to be told they had cancelled the order, that my payment would be repaid within 4 days and that by way of restitution I could have free delivery on my next purchase. I tried to cut a deal on an alternative camera but Pixmania weren't interested. They have had the use of my money for 3 weeks and I have nothing for it. If they seriously think I am ever going to make use of their services again they are deluded. Nick Malpass

It is unacceptable to clearly advertise 24 hour delivery all across the order page, and then to refer customers to the small print which actuallu states 48 hours! I ordered because I needed 24 hour delivery - the product was not delivered within this time period. The response was "customer service" was tough luck ! I would NEVER use these people again!

Having ordered a large number of WebCams for my business, I was initially told that VAT could not be refunded which is contrary to Pixmania's FAQ. I was then told to contact a supervisor but not given any contact details. After four weeks I am still waiting for the VAT refund.

The work online shopping experience ever. I bought I digital camera on Tuesday with an 24h express delivery. They don't tell you during the ordering process, but you have to send a proof of adress to get you product. They send me an email the next days asking me for ID and proof of adress. As I din't check My Email on Wednesday I didnt get my product on Thursday as expected. What a surprise when I checked my email box ! Well I send everything they asked for on Thurday and called them to have some more explaination. They talled me that I will get my product next Monday !!! on Friday, I had another email from them asking me again for proof of ID !!! I decided to cancel my order. A very bad experience....

All seemed OK through ordering, product arrived which transpired to be the 'European' version. Cables, manuals etc all proved to be totally useless. I eventually got through to the helpline (after being cut off twice) after an hour where I was told that this information was hidden in the smalll print. A sour taste to my fifth and final internet purchase, John Lewis here I come!!

Ordered new digital camera and paid extra for 24hr delivery. When ordering requested different delivery address to billing address. Shipment sent to billing address!!. Will not now get for further 2 days... Rang customer services, who would not even refund the extra payment for 24hr delivery. They just kept referring me to DHL, who are delivering. Pixmania are very unhelpful and will not admit they made a mistake!!

I ordered three items. One was a Casio digital camera. It arrived a week late with a two pin plug. I was told that since all items were European export then this was standard. I was told to buy an adapter which obviously means more expense and more kit. This consequently can make thier products seem that little bit cheaper which I felt was a con just to get the business in. If a company is selling electrical items to the UK it seems fairly obvious to me to be able to sell them with a three pin plug. Another item I bought was an Archos memory card reader advertised on the site as 'SD/MMC card reader' where in fact it doesn't read SD cards at all. I felt this was also a con to get people to buy when maybe they wouldn't if told of the correct description. Finally the itmes arrived in three different shipments which meant three different arrangements for collection. This company seems to have little committment to satisfying the customer.

Very poor service order over a week late, no communication from Pixmania, spent 1/2 day trying to track down when camera would be delivered. The products may be cheap but so is the service.

The fact that I bought a French product should be made more obvious, probably something at the top of the page rather than hidden on the tech info page. When I received my printer the box was already open but everything appeared to be there. Your website said that the product was in stock so I placed an order on Monday. On Friday when my order hadn't turned up I contacted Pixmania to be told that they were out of stock and that my order was being shipped soon. If you were out of stock then the website should tell you.

I am disappointed with Pixmania on this occasion as their advert led me to believe they had the item in stock, then it was 8-10 days delay then another 8-10 during which time they have charged my visa card account which is wholly unnacceptable, no other merchant I have dealt with has treated me like this.

Bought a Canon digital camera. Order process and delivery OK, but it was dead on arrival. It took 15 WORKING days for their courier to return it after collection. They then complained saying the battery charger and memory card were missing (not true). Eventually we got our money back two months after returning the faulty product but only by phoning them everyday until they gave in. Their post-sales service is the worst I've ever encountered. Do not buy from Pixmania.

AWFUL. CUSTOMER SERVICE NON-EXISTANT, STAFF TRAINED TO BE BLAND AND NOT SUPPORT CUSTOMER. NO SUPERVISOR / MANAGER AVAILABILITY OR ANY KIND OF ESCALATION CHAIN. NO ACCEPTANCE OF RESPONSIBILITY FOR STATED DELIVERY PERIODS. Constantly changed the availability date of the product, though debited my credit card immediatly. Did not respond to e mails. Customer help line rang for over 20 mins before being answered. Member of staff i spoke to said "Oh` well hang on for a few more days" even though I had explained to her I needed the camera for osmethign I was working on.

1)The ordering process is insecure and conveluted - having to send scanned ID across the internet and not being told whether it had arrived/ passed the check etc. 2)Item arrived USED and in poor condition (e.g. previously opened, dented manuals, memory card still had previous owners' pictures on it!!!) 3) No manual in English - made the item difficult to use (I was later told there is a note on the website, I was not aware that all brochures are in French) 3) Customer service woman was initially helpful about the French manual but stopped replying to my emails after I requested information about returning the item because it was used... All in all, the worst online shopping experience in many years, never again!

I purchased a Canon Powershot S50 digital camera. I was not expecting the manual to be in French so have had to purchase an English one separately. The camera stopped working the first time I filled the flashcard. I inserted a new card but the camera would not power up and has not worked since. Since the camera was brand new (I'd had it only weeks) I wanted Pixmania to exchange it but they have refused to accept liability and say I have to get the camera repaired under the Canon warranty. I would not risk purchasing another product through this company.

Overboard with credit card security, because I made mistake entering card details (security system asking questions like (what is your card limit?) system deactivated my card for further use on internet. Not only have they lost a sale but the hassle I now have to use my card on line.

I ordered camera on 19 May, for delivery around 25 May. Tracking system said "being prepared". Not received by 27th I called, told error in processing, would be shipped on 31 May (delayed by bank holiday). June 2, still not shipped, called again, helpline cannot explain delay or advise when will be received despite standard shipment being overnight ! Seriously unhappy & unimpressed customer.

Ordered a camera on Saturday, now Thursday and still no camera. When you place an order, you will be e-mailed a day or two later asking for proof of residency -Utility Bill etc and you will need to provide a registered phone number too. You have to either fax this to them or Scan it and e-mail it. Very inconvenient. This all slows down delivery. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED, DO NOT COUNT ON 24 Hour Delivery. Customer Services often very busy and get recorded message to call back another time. Still awaiting camera...........

website stated over a hundred in stock, after the scanjet was due to arrive i received a call to say there had been a mistake and it would be going out later, I asked if they were going to express it as it was their fault and if i had known it was going to take this long i would have paid for express or shopped somewhere else. Said no, they wouldnt express it, and even though i needed the scanner urgently i couldnt pay the extra for it to be expressed. I asked that customer services called back as i felt this was a very bad level of service. No one called back, I had been informed it would arrive Monday at the latest - it arrived Tuesday. When we went to set the scanner up, there wasnt a British plug. When we called Pixmania, they just said there should have been an adaptor in the box. We needed to go out locally and buy a shaver adapter! As a company, we have spent a lot of time chasing up the scanner, and then to have to go out to buy a plug is ridiculous!!!!

Confidently ordered a Cannon Lide80 scanner on the 10th of MAY , returned it on the 15th of MAY, - it was faulty. I had to ship it back to France so postage costs were just over £24. After more than 10 calls, approximately 2 per week and countless emails, I received a replacement on the 10th of JULY, that is nearly TWO MONTHS LATER. Apparently they had to assemble a team of specialists to examine the product, which proved to be an exasperatingly time-consuming affair. Two weeks after that when I have lost all hope for a refund, they sent me a cheque. Something that started more than more than two and 1/2 months ago and was supposed to be a simple, straightforward transaction developed into an almost never-ending saga. This is what the collective of Pixmania are capable of. Beware!
