I ordered the product on line. The service from start to finish was excellent. We were called when the product was due to be delivered - on time - and all correct. When I asked if I could return an item which was not needed there was no problem - and the customer care was excellent.Also - the quality is better than I expected - as there were some medicre reviews on line

The first person I spoke to gave me an incomplete tracking code. I had to make 3 phoen calls to B&Q to get the right one. Parcelforce which B&Q uses doesn't give a delivery time - well it does but it's 07:30-18:30 which is very inconvenient

Very pleased with the quality of the product - very chunky piece of furniture - only problem was the instructions - could have given a bit more details - all items were numbered but on the diagram some of these items were not numbered - could have given a bit more information - anybody not DIY minded might have had a problem

Generally good but haveing ordered 4 items to be put by for later collection, only 1 was. fortunately the other 3 were available from stock. One off experience, shopped at this store often and usually very good.

i pre ordered my item when i went to collect it was not at the collection point i had to wait for an assistant to fetch it i might as well of not reserved the product and shopped myself it would have been quicker

unfortunatly this is the 5th delivery with damaged and incorrect items, but because kitchen is half done can not change supplier. Deliverys cant be tracked, average of 10 to 12 days for delivery's then further 7 days to replace damages and wrong items. then 2 more replacements that where damaged. in total 9 deliverys and still not sorted. 2 month job now on 6 months

We ordered online for collection in store which worked well except that the collection process in store was not clear and ended up being chaotic as we had to queue at a ill for a long ime and then the assistant couldn't find our item where it should have been; a manager then had to be called who found the item immediately.

We tried to order 12 of these lanterns from B&Q Plymouth 2 weeks ago. This took hours on the phone to the Plymouth shop and your head office before B&Q would accept the order as they had to be delivered from another store. I went into the store to collect them today and the shop staff went out of their way to be unhelpful to me. When I arrived at the desk they couldn't find them. Then I was asked to follow a shop assistant. He eventually took me to a cupboard at the back of the store and then told me I would need a trolley. He would not get one for me. I walked back to the front of the store to get one. I then loaded the lights up. The assistant walked off. When I got to the till the lady would not let me out without a collection note so I had to wait whilst this was produced for me. I then walked out with the goods, a receipt and a collection note. I got half way to the car when another lady insisted I return to the store to scan the goods at the till. I was absolutely appalled by this service and I will go out of my way never to use B&Q again.

ordering and reserving on line to collect in store worked well. However I dislike going to the shore to shop as it is difficult to find stuff, often what I have gone for has run out, and it is hard to find a member of staff to ask

I ordered some items as reserve and collect and the rest to be delivered. All reserve and collect were availalbe and I am expecting delivery of remainder during the next week.

The web-site on stock control at different stores desperately needs improving. From online checking, the parts I needed were apparently not available at Stirling, where I was visiting for other reasons from Inverness. On arrival at B&Q there for another purchase I discovered the parts WERE in stock there after all. However I had already ordered the parts fom Newcraighall in Edinburgh because I had sourced the parts online from there, and checked by phone. This added considerable extra driving to what was already a long journey (over 300 miles) in winter.

The machine sent was for a 110V supply, and this was not stated on the website. It was therefore of no use to me. Customer services confirmed that the website did not indicate the supply voltage and accepted that it should be returned, without quibble (they did not have the equivalent 240V machine). However it was very disappointing to learn that it could take up to 28 days for my money to be refunded. This kind of problem could be avoided if B&Q gave fuller descriptions of their products on their web site. In general their descriptions are overly terse and much less than comparable companies in this sector for this kind of product (e.g others give full technical specifications). I would also add that while in this instance their price seemed competitive, in general this is not the case for much of their power tools.

Whilst the ordering was fine & very easy to locate what I needed to purchase, the delivery albeit was within the stated 5 days, but I find the delivery itself poor. The delivery slot was from 8am-6pm, With most deliveries from couriers you get a 2 hour window with a tracking number but this didn't happen. The best that was offered was a promised phonecall an hour before delivery, but this didn't happen either. No fault with the courier delivery driver though as he was very nice and carried my purchases into the garage for me as I would of struggled. I can't understand why B&Q could not of made the delivery from the local store instead though which I am sure in the current economic climate would of been a fair amount cheaper and more logical.
