Brought a washing machine from 'in store' (not off the internet) and 16 days later it would not work. rang up Comet customer service and they said that we couldn't return it to the store and we couldn't have a new 1. they would send a repair man to come and fix it. so we said forget it we need a working machine today, we just want our money back. but guess what even though we had had it only 16 days they also wouldn't give us our money back either!!Absolutely appalling service.

I purchased (well thought I did) Hoover washing machine online from Comet. I had a confirmed delivery date and it was never delivered. I called and they said the system canceled my order with an explanation of 'it does this now and again'. I then re-booked, called the day before to adjust the delivery day only to be told that it had been canceled again with the same reason 'it just happens'. I'd steer clear of Comet and recommend everyone else to do the same.

After reviewing Comet's desktop PC's on their site, I settled for the one I wanted and purchased it. I chose the 5-6 days free delivery (no qualms there). When I assembled my new PC, I checked the specs according to what was advertised on their site, and sure enough, I was "short-changed" in MB's on the hard drive. When I phoned Customer Service, she said my only option was to disassemble the PC, call for a pick-up, buy another computer on their site, wait a week for delivery....PLUS, she did

Paid extra for a Saturday delivery. It came on the day arranged but not inside the delivery time, came at 7.30 a.m. They unpacked and put in the utility room. When they had gone we moved it to the position to find there was a big dent in the side which they had purposely covered with a label they had ripped off the bottom of the freezer. We had all the food, keeping cool, so had no option but to keep an inferior item. I filled out a questionnaire but received no reply

Bought Servis washing machine dilivery was on time paid extra for fitting when they went to fit it descovered that the washer was missing for the hose and took the washer of my old machine after they were away discovered it was leeking. seven weeks later the machine broke down to cut a long and stresfull story short 4 weeks on am still with out a washing machine and after numerus calls to customer services am still no further forward after sales pathetic do not buy from this company

Got a washing machine from Comet on 29th August 2006! Broke down January 15th, reported it to the helpline the same day! Call out was booked for the 19th! Service i recieved was excellent, will always use again Faulty products are not there fault, they cannot test them before hand

I bought an LG washing machine from Comet in September 2006. I had a problem with the machine and it needed repairing. They only provide all day callouts in some areas which means that I need to take a full day off work. Wont give am or pm appointments. I wont buy from them again. Try using a local supplier that will provide good customer service.

I ordered online & got confirmation that I would receive an email when it was processed. 8 days later I called and was told that the account details I gave were not accurate so the order had been cancelled! My question is WHY DID THEY NOT EMAIL OR PHONE TO CHECK THIS WITH ME. Ordered online again, after 3 days & several phone calls to them, I received an email that the order could not be processed because the item was out of stock. Absolutely rubbish service! Would never use again or recommend!

Ordered Indesit GSE160 integrated larder fridge 3/9/2006 as having a new fitted kitchen. Decided to place the order over the telephone rather than the internet just to make sure the item was in stock I was reassured it was. Then I had a call 9 days later to say the fridge was out of stock, the company offered a refund or I pay more money for an alternative, the company refused to offer money towards a replacement as a good will gesture. To top it off I have to wait five working days for a refund

Comet totally unhelpful in store! Customer services totally unhelpful! Their press officer arranged for a pretty dim fellow to sort it out. Eventually arranged delivery of a demo range cooker from 70 miles away but not the one 3 miles away! By 12 o/c on Saturday had given up on the promised delivery but had a call at 1236 to say they were on their way. Arrived 1400hrs in time for Marthas party and to cook for 30 people. Delivery people wonderful and carried up to first floor!

Ordered HP 8250 photosmart printer on 26th. July for delivery on 28th. July between 8am and 6pm. Waited in all day. No delivery by 6pm. so 'phoned Comet. Was told that their records showed "attempted delivery at 16.21hrs". Absolute rubbish!! Delivery driver a member of POETS society (p*** off early tomorrow's Saturday) Would never use them again.

Bought a Samsung WS306zvb from store, store manager did not mention comets price match policy but instead offered to match on line price if I bought a warranty with TV. This model has serious picture distortion in bottom of screen and the corners noticably bend downwards. Comet engineers/store/customer services claim they cannot offer refund/exchange because this is the TV's spec. Once they have your money comet are not interested.

bought a washing machine never buy again from this shop, it was faulty said it needed new part might aswell bought a second hand one,they came with that part and that was faulty still wouldnt replace washing machine,ater many many phone calls which cost alot of money got refund no apology.

in august 2005 we bought a new service dishwasher as both of us are disabled old one went wrong in january didn't empty water had engineer told it was a glich keep pressing button we did this until one night it blew trip later that week my husband went to open door he got a shock it threw him across the room he is still suffering with his shoulder the short of this story is neither comet or servis uk can sort out a disherwasher that has been condemed by engineer and we struggle to wash up

What more can we expect from this store? This is the best store I have ever shopped with their cutomer service, on time delivery, ease of ordering either on the phone or web site,returning policy of your goods in case you dont like it excellent service by an excellent store but be aware if you ever need to buy any thing go either through web or phone dont buy it from their store as their returning policy for the goods bought from the store is apalling once you open the box they wont refund

The information on products was easy to access and compare. The helpline staff were friendly and able to answer my questions. The goods arrived on the arranged day in good condition. The delivery staff were very good.

Bought a hoover washer and paid extra to have it connected. Man connecting it refused to tighten up the hose connectors because if they broke he'd be liable, I had to connect it under his direction. Washer didn't work, comet agreed to send their engineer to check in a weeks time. I felt that this was unacceptable with a baby in the house, they refused to replace the item or give me a refund. When the engineer came to check what was wrong he discovered that hoses were the wrong way round!

My son had difficulty getting an exchange for this product as the seven day return period had expired. We felt that as the product was damaged the seven day return policy should not apply. Also, nowhere did we see any reference to this seven day return so were not aware of it. Perhaps you should make this more explicit.

I see a samsung plasma online. went to store to find its £100 more. they threw in a £39 scart as i wanted it on finance 8 months. i was told i could take one away with me that day filled paperwork in and when they went to get it they came back saying they made a mistake and that they never actuallyhad one. offered delivery 1 week later 2 days later got a call to say item was in stock so i went to collect, guess what they never actually had it. done this again! then got delivery but 7 dead pixels

purchased jvc stereo returned it faulty 2 days later no rep;acement in stock.New one picked up 9 days later.Used twice and then would not play cd returned it to store and told it would have to be repaired 13th December 2005.Today 18th January 2006 told it was unrepairable.Finally received refund but not with out a fight.Found staff unhelpful, arrogant and rude.Will never shop at comet again,customer services non existant.

Original order turned up on time but was damaged and faulty. Phoned to complain and was told they would send an engineer round to look at the damage. Rejected this solution and they finally agreed to send a replacement but was told that I would have to wait 4 days. They then failed to turn up 4 days later and when I called them to complain I was put on hold for 20 minutes. In total I was on the phone to them for 27 minutes before they finally agreed to schedule another delivery for the next day

When i recieved my item it was damaged so i contacted comet who offered me a £50 refund ,3 weeks later and several phone calls still no cheque.

agreed a delivery date.Had an E-Mail to say date had changed.Goods turned up 7.30am day after complaint. If it had been delivered after 8.30 no-one would have been in to take in delivery

Every aspect first rate, easy to understand website, order received dead on time and the delivery men were first class had to carry washer up a flight of steps and could not have been more helpful. Thank you.
