MP3 (MPEG-1 Audio Layer 3) music "files" are downloaded from the Internet (or "ripped" from your own CDs) and then stored in your computer. You can transfer these music files (using the included docking station) to tiny memory cards (about the size of a postage stamp). The RFXMP3.8 holds up to 8 individual multi-media (MMC) cards providing hours of music. You can expect the supplied 8 MB Multi Media Card to hold up to 1/2 hour of music, depending on the sound quality (i.e., amount of compression) of the recording.
