Canon's G11 is a step in the right direction.

Pros: Excellent compromise between resolution and low light capability, RAW capture, articulated screen

Cons: much better than G10 but still noisy at high ISO, somewhat slow

Excellent Point-n-shoot camera with advanced features

Pros: excellent natural-light pictures, good ISO, excellent battery, good video recording, excellent stabilization feature.

Cons: flash picture quality mediocre, no HD video

Bottom Line:

Recommended for point-n-shoot and advanced users.  However:
- if you don’t need rotating LCD screen buy G10 instead. 
- if you take lots of flash pictures nix this one.
