Nikon Flashes Keep Getting Better & More Costly

Pros: Build quality, power, flexibility of flash modes.

Cons: Initial cost to purchase and for some, a noticeable overall size & weight increase.

Good flash, but may not be worth an upgrade from a sb-800

Pros: Battery life seems to be improved, better control interface, same SB-800 quality.

Cons: Larger than the SB-800, uses different color filters than the SB-800.

Bottom Line:
If you have a SB-800, you may not want to upgrade. But if you have disposable funds or no flash at all, the SB-900 is a great choice. Read More
