Full Review
I have been using the IPhone for 2 weeks and have to say it is far and away my favorite electronic purchase ever.
I travel a great deal and carry so many electronics - the computer, GPS, phone, bluetooth, IPod, camera that I had to buy a small 3 plug adapter to charge everything at night in the hotel room.
Imagine my joy to consolidate 3 plugs into 1 - Phone, IPod and bluetooth. I still carry a camera because while the phone has a good built in, it isn't as good as my Sony and you can't take video on the IPhone yet.
I loaded all my songs easily and took 2 tries to figure out how to load the books I am currently reading (I made a playlist of them and loaded that)
The bluetooth headset is very small and pretty good - not the best from my clients point of view - they get a bit of tunnel sound - but not as poor as most I have had in the past - the worst was the highly rated Jawbone that I truly hated - hard to wear, poor sound and badly designed plug for charging that always wanted to pull the top off the unit. This Apple ear piece charges quickly on the same cord that charges the IPhone - which I love - good thing it charges quickly because battery life isn't as good as I would like.
I don't know why Apple has everything right but the headphones, I hate their little earbuds. So I bought an adapter on Ebay and use my IPod headphones - the best being V Moda - they work directly into the IPhone.
I had to hunt to find a FM transmitter - but at dlo.com I got a TransDock Micro that works well although every time you plug it in it reminds you that it isn't made to work with the IPhone - DLO advises that is OK - so I ignore it and it seems fine.
This IPhone is easy to maneuver around, great - phenomenal web access, really nice speaker - I can listen to a call or a book in the car! - but I usually put it on FM. And it took all my contacts - I have 4 contact files in Outlook - and it separated them into groups and easily downloaded them, and then I readily added photos to them.
I would like to have enterprise software and be able to get my corporate emails on this - can't wait until Apple gets that in place.
I am still learning functions and shortcuts, just learned how to use the spellcheck on messenger and it couldn't be smoother.
I would highly recommend this phone - I had a data plan and some extras so the IPhone data package actually saved me money - reduced the cords I carry and consolidated the IPod and phone into one unit - I am in hog heaven.
