I recently purchased a Dell Laptop Inspiron TM 1501 PC Notebook and am very impressed with the quality. It is very thin, light weight yet does not feel cheap. The 15.4" screen displays beautiful picture quality and the speakers surprised me with their quality of sound. The 3-in-1 card reader is a fantastic feature, it makes it so easy to pop in a SD card and upload all your favorite pictures to your PC. I have Windows Vista Home Premium as my OS (Operating System) and recommend 2 GB of RAM. I only have 1 GB of RAM and if I’m trying to run too many programs at once it will freeze, however the solution for is quick and easy, just close a few windows you’re not currently using and it works great again. I love the CD-RW/DVD combo drive. I go camping often and love to put a DVD in my laptop and watch it under the stars. The hinges that connect the body and screen of the laptop are very durable and sturdy, so no worries about it separating. The standard 6-cell battery lasts approximately 2-3 hours; the additional 9-cell gives you approximately 5-6 hours. All in all, I am extremely satisfied with this purchase and will enjoy my Dell notebook for years to come.
