My daughter and I had to decide on a game for her new game boy advance sp. I remember playing donkey kong country on nintendo 64 a few years ago. I remembered it was a very fun and challenging game. We decided to get the game.

It seemed like Walmart had the game at the cheapest price new. It was $29.95. We did not have to pay for the game or the game boy advance sp. We got them free on the sight called freevideogames.com. It took two months, but we finally received them free in the mail. Sorry to say, the sight used to be a good place to pick up free games, but that is now over. It is hard to get points and it is much harder to receive the games. If I had too, I would gladly pay the money for this particular game at Walmart.


The game is fun, challenging, and good for both adults and children. I enjoyed the game and got hooked on it. I brought it to work and played it for awhile. I'm one of those lucky people who are actually allowed to do things like this at work. The graphics are excellent and the color is great. It was fun for my daughter and I to see who was better at the game. I believe I won the challenge.

A few pointers. This game on the gameboy sp advance is a great and fun game. However, remember, the screen on the gameboy advance sp is smaller than a regular video game you play on your television. Do not allow your children to play it for too long at one time. I saw my daughter one time after an hour of playing. Her face was all red and she was sweating. Afterwards, she was rubbing her eyes. Also the controls are tiny and will hurt your hands after awhile. Sometimes it is hard to make some of the jumps in this game because of the small controls. Enjoy the game, but give yourself or your children a break. As far as the controls in the game, they are incredible. Donkey Kong can walk, jump, double jump, roll, swim. etc. The small monkey seems to be able to jump just a little farther than Donkey. Graphics are great and the color is exceptional. Music is good and has the sound of an arcade game. I felt like I was playing a video arcade game, but in a little tiny pocket sized game. You will find yourself running, jumping, swimming, riding a railroad car, riding animals like a fish and a bird, etc. You will be attacked by alligators, gorillas, sharks, fish, bumble bees, etc. This game is creative and a lot of fun.


I love the game boy sp because I could save donkey kong country each time after I was finished. This is a great advantage for us novice video game players. You can start off where you ended your game. If not, some of us would never have a chance to get to the end of the game.


For those of you who don't know, donkey kong is an adventurous game about two monkeys. It is funny, creative and a lot of fun. This character has been around for a long time. Some of us older folks remember the first one with the barrels. This one has barrels, but you go somewhere, and you do more things. I would call it the old donkey kong on his way of becoming Indiana Jones.

If you love adventurous games, give this one a try. It really is a lot of fun. And remember, you don't even have to be an expert at video games to play it. I don't want to give away everything about the game. I suggest if you are interested in it and don't want to buy it as of yet. Go to blockbuster, rent it, and see what you think.
