Designed for quick pick-ups, this powerful handheld vacuum cleaner features Root Cyclone technology and a constant suction power of 36 air watts--twice the power of other handhelds. Dyson proves no loss of suction using the IEC 60312 Cl 2.9 test standard. The cordless unit vacuums up both small and large debris from carpets, smooth tabletop surfaces, computer keyboards, and other areas around the home. Like many handhelds, the Dyson Root 6 delivers up to six minutes of powerful continuous cleaning on each full charge, but, uniquely, it recharges up to three times faster. Minimize

Dyson Root 6 (DC16): Super Handheld Vacuum, Expensive But You Get What You Pay For

Author's Rating: 5/5 stars

Pros: Replaceable lithium-ion battery, battery status, no filters to buy, excellent suction even as canister fills

Cons: Twice the price of B&D Pivot, bigger and not as compact as the B&D Pivot.

Bottom Line:
Both the Pivot and Root 6 are excellent handheld vacuums. Root 6 is twice the price but you get what you pay for. Read More

Dyson Root 6 roots out dirt

Author's Rating: 5/5 stars

Pros: Will suck a bowling ball out of the closet. Empty dust bin without getting dirty.

Cons: Short battery life requires organized approach to cleaning. Expensive.

Bottom Line:
RECOMMENDED for people who clean regularly, who need a small, compact, and portable vac for spot cleaning and don't mind spending the extra dollars to get efficient suction. Read More
