Pros: Decent workhorse. Solid performance. Nice Keyboard.
Cons: Nothing special. Poor sound.
The Bottom Line: The computer is a solid performer but there is nothing flashy about it. For work I would recommend it. For personal use or multimedia, I would probably look elsewhere.

[ HISTORY ]
I've used this computer for about a year for work. It is the corporate standard and is decent in that role. I have no problems with the computer and have used it instead of the OmniBook 900 -- which I was originally given. I wanted the larger screen on the 4150. I've found the computer solid, although when loading my personal software I've had some issues (i.e., crashes). I haven't had any technical problems with the computer and spend about 50% of the time with it docked. The speed is solid.
[ DISPLAY ]
The display is quite crisp although it could be a bit brighter. The size is good enough from doing most tasks.
[ MOUSE / CURSOR CONTROL ]
The 4150 provides the ability to use either the touchpad or pointing stick. Both work pretty well, although I use an external mouse when I can (i.e., not on airplanes).
[ KEYBOARD ]
At first I didn't think I liked the keyboard. But after using it a while it is probably my favorite keyboard that I have used on a laptop. It has a good balance.
[ SOUND ]
Very poor. I was going crazy trying to listen to MP3 on this computer. Definitely use external speakers. If you can't use them for space, invest in a nice pair of headphones (I'm writing a review on some very good yet inexpensive Sennheiser HD 433 soon).
[ BATTERY LIFE ]
Very good. On one battery without "life-saving" mode I get roughly two hours. I can get another hour with the battery saving mode on. You can also take out the CD-ROM and place in an extra battery. With this, I've use the computer from a trip from Boston to LA without any problems (5 hours).
[ DOCKING ]
The docking station I use with it is solid and works fine.
[ SUPPORT ]
I haven't needed to contact HP directly for any issues.
