Pros: small, compact and fairly light
Cons: No IR port. Battery life shorter than HP claims. Tech support is horrible.
Bottom Line: Unless you can fix your own laptop or don't need to deal with HP tech support, HP notebooks should not be on the top of your wish list.

Pros: Small, lightweight
Cons: Poor quality parts, unreliable
Bottom Line: HP's laptops are very poor quality. Don't waste your time unless you enjoy having your new laptop out for service more often than not.

Pros: slim and light
Cons: poor battery life, no IR-port, bad customer/tech support
Bottom Line: Do you have money to throw around? If yes, than HP Omnibook 500 is for you. Otherwise, save your headache and money.
