If you are a business user, then you are going to love this nice piece of machine for its fast performance. It is a fine computer for most business tasks and you just can't find a better deals than it.

First of all, its price tag is below $2000, and if you don't already know, its because lots of notebook makers such as IBM, Gateway, and Dell have to drop their prices for their portables to stay competitive, and that's a great new for everybody who is going to purchase a computer sooner or later. Well, you can get a OmniBook XE2' with a low price with system consist of: a Celeron-333 CPU, 64MB of RAM, a 12.1 inch active-matrix screen, internal V.90 modem and CD-ROM drive, a 4.3 hard drive, and a one-year parts and labor warranty. That are some pretty impressive features you can when the inexpensive price tag won't scare you away.

Too bad that the speakers in OmniBook XE2 is too close to the wrist rest. And as I had experienced, this muffle and affect the sound quality slightly when I type and listen to tunes at once. HP also cuts off freee technical support after three years; and this won't satify the customers when other notebook company offer lifetime support.

Although the OmniBook XE2 is a good deal, it is not the best you can get. For example, when I compare it to my friend's Dell Inspiron 3500 C333XT notebook, which consists of a bigger screen, a multipurpose bay that accepts a DVD ROM drive and other optonal devices, and a three year parts and labor warranty. But you can't be wrong to choice OmniBook XE2 afterall, especially when you need a notebook primary for word processing and spreadsheet work. The only mistake you can make these days is paying more than two grand for a notebook PC.
