5/5 stars This Kodak Camera blew away my Nikon
26-Dec-2004
Pros: Kodak never misses the shot. It's lag time.. well, there is none!
Cons: Haven't really found any. Possibly less manual adjustments.
The Bottom Line: This camera is worth every cent and them some. I doubt you will find any flaw with the photos this camera will make.

This Kodak EasyShare CX7525 Camera is among the best I've seen which includes both a Toshiba 3.2 megapixel and a Nikon 4 megapixel, even when the Kodak is reduced to a typical 3mp format. I'm not saying that the Nikon or Toshiba's I presently own are bad, just that the Kodak was better and this surprises me as much as it may surprise you.

We only got this camera a short while ago. My wife wanted her own camera and frankly I resisted as I had just bought a new Nikon 4mp model, Kodak. Errr. No. No way. I'm eating my words. In every possibly way to judge the photos, the Kodak photos looked better than the Nikon. Furthermore, the Kodak never missed a single shot! I know die hard Nikon users will be upset with me, but frankly I seen no reason to use my Nikon after shooting this Christmas with both cameras. In 200+ shots with both cameras, the Kodak didn't miss a single shot. Every shot was clear, rich, and properly illuminated without hot spots, white outs, etc. Furthermore, there is NO LAG. I've never owned a Digital Camera that didn't have some lag, 1 second, 1/4 second, etc. The Kodak is Press and Shoot and it's all in the same movement. What you see is what you get and what more could you ask from a camera?

I also noticed the Kodak Media card that came with the camera will download to my PC at twice the speed of of the store bought variety of SD cards I own. I'm not sure what's up with that, but it was a nice surprise.

If you are looking for an in-depth review, I am not offering this now. I need 6 months with this camera. However, it's build quality is good to very good, but it's performance is exceptional, best I've owned and I have owned much more expensive.

I will post some motorcycle photos after 01/01/2005 at http://www.streetglo.net in the User section there. I have just dressed my bike in reflective decals and motorcycle graphics and plan to send them to the folks at streetglo. Have a look there and see for yourself.
