Full Review
To mothers video games can only rot childrens brains, but to the players they can only open new doors and level up imaginations. Video games come in categories ranging from first person shooters to RPGS (role playing games). Video game sagas innovate themselves from decade to decade making the classics new again; but no person can change the classics for what they are. The Zelda saga is one dynasty that keeps reinventing itself with the new technological era. Some of the Zelda games cannot be any better than their predecessors; they all have their own style and flare. Zelda: Link to the Past is a cult classic that tops all others. This game with its in-depth story line and challenging puzzles deserves a rating of the highest degree.
Whats so special about it?
This fun exciting game was designed for the Super Nintendo gaming system platform and was re-released for the Gameboy advanced platform. This challenging but not to hard game consist of multi level sequences with a classic save the princess story line. The game consists of twelve dungeons that consist of different puzzles and challenging boss fights. When starting the game the character will start with only a lantern. Dont worry you can acquire twenty different items to make the journey complete.
Are there any disappointments with the game?
The only disappointment that I had with the game is that it was too short. The game its self is nothing short of amazing but I think that it could have been longer. I tend to like long games but this one was short and to the point. This game is short but well worth the time and effort. This is one of the few games that has become an instant classic.
Are there Problems with the game?
The game play for this Super Nintendo game is nothing but extraordinary. There are a few glitches in the game but its mostly the gaming console. Some games may not work at once due to the old age and the cartridge set up. Blowing in the console and in the game cartridge may fix the problem. Some may experience some lag in the game play witch is not that bad but can get annoying over a period of time. Other than that this game has almost no flaws that I can tell.
Why did you buy it and do you replay it?
I, like most people, bought Zelda: Link to the Past because of the original game that was released for the Nintendo. Yet again Nintendo out did themselves with this game. I have played this game about twenty times and it doesnt get old. This is probably my favorite Zelda game.
Do you recommend it?
For anyone who has played video games and love Zelda this is a must have. Not only is it the best Zelda game I have played but it has also made me think more strategically and for that I recommend it for people of all ages.
How much does it cost?
Since this game is old it may not be able to be found.
If it is found, this game can cost an easy twenty dollars for Super Nintendo, and thats cheep. Due to its release for Gameboy Advanced it can be bought and this great game will not break the bank. For the Gameboy Advance console the game will cost you approximately twenty dollars depending where you buy it.
Is it worth the time and money?
Zelda: link to the Past has exceeded my expectations. I have played this game for hours on end; and I am so happy with my perches that I bought the game for the Gameboy Advance console and gave it to my nephew who now cannot put it down. I believe this product is a quality game and should be bought. For this extraordinary game I give it five out of five stars.
