Even the classics can be a bit disappointing

Pros: Classic arcade games
Cons: small game screens sometimes too dark, limited games
The Bottom Line:
It would be better to utilize GBA's capabilities with newer games. Small game screens just don't make these games fun.

Being able to carry around classic arcade games in your back pocket can be great. Never mind Namco could have easily selected a different set of games to put together (versus keeping the same 4 games as with all other platforms) and put *more* games on the cartridges. Ms. Pacman is the only game on the cartridge that allows for changing your game screen format. The scrolling option enlarged the screen enough to keep the game entertaining. The regular fit to screen format was simply too small. Same problem with Galaga. As much as I love this game, I was very disappointed at how dark the screen was as well as the size. It was difficult to tell the difference between enemy photo's and the wavy starscape in the background. Dig Dug was decent and Pole Position is just plain outdated. I wouldn't have minded having Pacman and Ms. Pacman on the same cartridge if it meant not having to drive a pixelated race car. If anything, nostalgia may set in but the game could prove frustrating due to the game screen being so small.
The game itself is perfect for consoles. Your GBA will appreciate having newer games being played on it.
