I purchased the E-510 last year as soon as it came out. I already have an E-500, which I used on a recent trip to Ireland.
I realized there that I needed an image stabilized camera for low light use. Since then I've used the 510 on many occasions. Not always without a flash (I also have an FL50 flash), but it's nice to have the stabilized option when I need it.
The pictures are always of incredible quality. The 10mp sensor is very good. I have used high ISO settings and there is very little grain or noise. The MOS sensor on the camera allows the high ISO settings while removing a lot of the noise I see on the E-500 at high ISO settings, since the E-500 has an 8mp CCD sensor.
The only drawbacks associated with the camera would be for a novice photographer, in that there are many sub menus that require one to know photography to use the functions effectively. However, one can also get very good pictures in the AUTO mode.
I bought the body only since I had purchased the 2 lense package when I bought the E-500. The lenses aren't the fastest I've ever used, but they produce great photos and are designed using the new four thirds system that has also been adopted by Sony, Sigma, and a couple of other manufacturers.
This camera was listed as a best buy by one of the photo magazines and has favourable reviews by the on line reviewers.
