Pros: Very good picture quality and excellent zoom features such as close Macro movie, multi shots.
Cons: The main con is the battery life.

I went from a Fuji3800 3.2mp 6x to the Olympus c-740. The recommendation of a Best Buy sales rep. I wanted more zoom power and the panoramic features. I still... after talking to several best But sales reps. and even the Olympus tech. line, I still don't know how to use the Panoramic feature which was my main reason for changing cameras. I'm sure in time I will learn how to use it . But... the main con is the battery life. If you use the included Lithium LB-01 battery included and suggested use,at a cost of $20.00 a pair it can become very expensive. The option is 2100ah rechargeable that has a very short life span. Example; 13 photos and siting on off position over night, the batteries were dead by morning and needed to be replaced and or re-charged to be able to download to my computer.
If I had to sum it up on this camera, (pro) Good picture quality, and features. (con) the poorest battery life of any camera on the market.
