unkasteve's Review: Panasonic KX-FHD331 Plain Paper Thermal transfer Fax
Okay Faxing, Poor Receiving Faxes
23-Oct-2007
Pros: Setup is easy & simple and SENDS most faxes very well.
Cons: It jams paper or prints only half a page or spits out several pages.
The Bottom Line: Stay away, far away, from this one.

I bought this on sale and with rebate, but my overall impression is that I could have spent the rebate money and saved myself a lot of frustration & irritation.
It does Send faxes well.
Receiving Faxes it does terribly or not at all. The instructions tell you it uses plain paper and that you should fan the paper before placing it in the tray. I have literally fanned the paper with an electric fan in order to separate each page before placing them in the tray. The fax feed either takes all the pages at once or not at all. You literally have to stand there and feed each page into the tray, one at a time and precisely when it has finished printing the preceding page. A slight hesitation or premature placing of the next blank page will cause the Machine to reset and you have to push the Start Button to Print all the preceding pages no matter where you are in the print process.
Since I have used & bought many Panasonic products of different types in the past I thought I would get a quality product by this purchase. I did not nor would I recommend my worst enemy to purchase this Fax Machine. It could cause someone to go postal.
On the other hand, it is quite simple & easy to set up and works correctly to answer the phone on the correct number & type of rings, thus working well in conjunction with our separate answering machine.
