I purchased this camera about 7 months ago for 984.00. I have already taken around 15000 images with this camera. It still works just as good as when I got it. Some sample images are available at

I bought this camera initially because I had 2 pentax lenses already and needed an upgrade from my Pentax Ist DS. I have used this camera for sports and it has paid for itself already. The shutter lag is so minimal that my images have been used as a coaching tool for a baseball team. With its very durable magnesium alloy chassis it will stand up to some abuse and is splashproof and dust proof. Sensor dust is only a mild problem with this camera as the flourine coating makes all you have to do use a blower( such as the rocket blower). This camera is a good sub $1000 model that is at the top of the consumer line of DSLRs with many features that only the pro cameras have.

I recommend this as an all around semi-professional camera that would be good for any amateur or semi- pro photographer.
