Let the Phantasy begin...

Author's Rating: 5/5 stars

Pros: Multiple stories, addicting, nice graphics and can be played on-line.

Cons: Takes time to get the learning curve, story is sub-par and it's mostly dungeon crawling.

The Bottom Line:
Get this game. It lures you in with it's gameplay. You can play it on a rainy day. You can play it on a sunny day. Just play it.

You want to get away from reality for a while. You need a game to escape to. You choose Phantasy Star Online, but why?

The graphics are smooth, and they don't interfere with the gameplay. This is definately a plus. You can see what your weapon looks like un-like other RPG's. You equip it and there it is, in all it's glory. Which is to say, all the weapons in this game look marvelous.

The sound. I can't really say too much about the sound. It's not annoying, it doesn't get in your way while you play. You barely notice it while your playing the game.

The gameplay is very fun and unique. You get to customize each button specifically with an attack, a spell, or even to use an item, and you can have three normally, and three different commands when you hold R. This menu system is easy to master if you've ever played an RPG before. What adds to the gameplay is the MAG system. You feed them items (ones that you need to, so choose wisely) and it grows stronger. In time it can do a magic attack if you take enough damage. It can evolve three times, and it's cool to see a twin mag following you over your shoulders.
