I bought this because I wanted a tablet to take notes during meetings and just use it for work and home. I was surprised at how well this worked as a notebook - pretty close to a desktop replacement but not quite. Great screen quality, very responsive, very sturdy. A great value. I don't think 512mb is enough for ANY computer so I upped the RAM to 1.5gb and it made a big difference. Also, I wish for a DVD burner (this comes with a DVD reader and CD burner). But I found a very reasonable vendor selling the DVD burner on eBay for $200 - and it just swaps out with the CD burner. Only complaint is that it is heavy - don't look to be walking around with the thing and writing at the same time. But for the price its the best on the market - far better than that "other" budget tablet out there. Highly recommended.
