Do not waste your money.

Author's Rating: 1/5 stars

Pros: Attractive design, small "footprint."

Cons: Defective. Expensive to repair. Poor customer service.

Sound: 4
Ease of Use: 4
Picture Quality: 4
Durability: 3

The Bottom Line:
Do not buy this television. If you have the money to spend on a more expensive and reliable brand, do so. You will probably save money in repairs.

I have owned this TV for less than 2 years, and it has completely stopped working. TWICE. The first time it died, we had to pay over $400 to have it repaired. That was about 6 months ago. The TV has once again stopped operating. The unit has never been dropped, abused, or damaged in any way, so I can attribute its problems only to poor craftsmanship and/or design.

Besides these annoying and expensive problems, this model would often emit a high pitched buzz that could be heard from rooms away when the television was on.

Not surprisingly, when we let Samsung know about their product's failure, they said they could do nothing because it was past the warranty date. We paid $800, then $400, and who knows how much more in the future, for repairs or a replacement, because Samsung would rather permanently lose a customer than pay for repairs or an exchange. This lack of responsive customer service makes me think Samsung believes their customers can afford to be robbed of over $1000 for shoddy merchandise more so than they can take responsibility for their inferior products.

I will never buy another Samsung electronics device again, and I hope others steer clear of this unreliable product.
