Author's Review
Recently I got back into the music scene. For a while I hadn't been listening to it often, just playing video games and learning lots of Asian stuff. Well, a-lot of my friends were listening to portable CD players everywhere and burning alot of their own music. I thought it must be nice to just listen to your own mixes any time you want. So I did a little research. Turns out most of them were using the d-e220 from Sony. I asked one of them if I could test try it. I did. It sounded superb. Not only that but it looked nice. So I bought myself one.....

Pros
A nice, sturdy build. ESPMAX is very efficient. I shook mine for over a minute (very fast, extreme jostling mind you) and couldn't get it to skip. The player is very light. Sometimes I hardly notice it's in my hand or in my lap. The headphones it comes with are nice. Mind you, they aren't THE best. But when I put volume on maximum, my ears hurt. It's Sony, so poor quality isn't an option. CDs play nice and smooth. CD-R/RW compatible.

Cons
No backlit display. Not too much of a biggy. No remote. I don't know if that is a con or not. I never used or needed one. A tiny bit of distortion with bass on at near maximum volumes, but I doubt you'll need the volume on that high (the volume is very loud at lower levels). Sounds dull without bass (who would leave bass off anyways?). I think it may come with a remote jack. The d-ej611 did. This one has a plastic plug over a square hole with a plug for headphones. Maybe if you remove plastic there's a remote jack. A teeny bit expensive compared to other models of same caliber.
