I bought this cd player to replace my Panasonic (SL-SX290) cd player since I was looking for a cd player with better sound quality, one that was louder, and had more features, and was also better built.
One day, I was looking around at target and I saw the new Sony PSYC d-ej360 portable cd player and as soon as I saw it, I knew it was the perfect cd player for me. So I bought it, and I brought it home, I opened the package, put the batteries in it, headphones, and one of my favorite 80's cd's (Grand Theft Auto Vice city soundtrack) and the music sounded amazing. I was listening to Michael Jackson's "Wanna be startin something" and the song sounded amazing, felt like I was at a concert. You get 2 levels of bass. You can chose from no bass, a little bass, and alot of bass. I think it sounds the best on alot of bass, because it boosts up the bass alot and it also helps the treble a little more. Even when the volume is loud it still does not distort. This cd player also has digital volume which means that when you turn up the volume, there is no stupid whell that you slide up, you just have a button that you press and it also shows you how loud it goes. The volume goes from 1 to 9 with 3 levels. You can put the volume on 7 level 3 with bass and it still does not distort and that is pretty loud. So the sound quality on this cd player is the best I ever heard from any portable cd player!
The design on this cd player is awesome. You can choose from 3 colors. There are: Move Blue, Pulse Red, and Disco Yellow. I have move blue, that is one of my favorite colors! Move blue is Dark Blue and it has Green Circles on the side, Pulse red, (like in the picture) Is bright red with 3 blue circles on the side, Disco Yellow is bright yellow with 3 blue circles on the side. All the colors are awesome. This cd player is not the smallest cd player there is, but it is very thin and it can easily fit into a bigger pocket. The only problem with the design is that it kind of gets marks on the lid and stuff since it is so shiny so be prepared to wipe it off once and awhile.
The Shock Protection (G-Protection) is excellent! I jogged with it for a little while and it did not skip one beat, I went for a bike ride and I went over bumps and I was going really fast and it still did not skip, untill I was going about 35 miles per hour on my bike and I was going over alot of bumps and I kept getting tapped against the hand brake, and then I even tried shaking it full blast and sitll, no skips! I think G-Protection is the best skip protection you can find!
The battery life is also unbelieveable, You get 40 hours of battery life! I use this cd player all the time, in the car, at home, jogging, and just relaxing and it still never dies. The thing that is cool is that it has a cool battery indicator that tells you how much battery life you have left. The are 4 sections, 4 means that your battery life is full, 3 means that your battery life is almost full, 2 means that you have half of your battery life left, 1 means that you are running low, 0 means that you are almost out, and than it starts flashing and there are no more sections of your battery life, and then a few minutes later LO BATT comes up on the screen and then you have to replace your batteries. I am still on my first set of batteries and I bought this cd player in April! The battery life is great on this cd player.
The features are pretty cool. You get some pretty good features on this cd player such as Repeat, Repeat 1, Shuffle, Repeat Shuffle, and bookmark mode. Bookmark mode is cool because you can save your favorite songs from a few of your cd's and when you put in another cd and then you put your cd that you used bookmark mode with, it will remember where you left off. You also get hold, so if you jogging with this cd player or life it is in your pocket and a button gets pressed, it will lock out the buttons for you so if you hit a button by accident, the buttons won't work so the volume does not go all the way up, or you won't get the next track button get hit by accident. It is not a feature that you need all the time, ususally I keep mine off, but it is good for some people.
My final reccomendation about this cd player is that this cd player is perfect for anyone who wants to listen to some music, it is a great gift for teenagers like me, adults, or even it is perfect for someone who wants to use it when excersising. This cd player is built well and can handle drops, and alot of stuff. I would reccomend this cd player to anyone!
