Pros: No doubt about it...Sony makes a great 3-chip camera.
Cons: ND filter and manual exposure controls are impossible to use "smoothly"
Bottom Line: A great camera for the pro-sumer. Excellent low light performance, outstanding picture quality, great sound.

For the money, would purchase the VX-2000
Bottom Line: The Sony VX-2100 is a camera which breathtaking video quality and unsurpassed capability is ideal for a professional videographer or an individual who desires for nothing but the best.

Pros: Value. Low-light feature(1lux). Professional looking, and gives great results!
Cons: None. Not your "uncle joe" video camera.
Bottom Line: I highly recommend this video camera to professionals, or people who take videos seriously.

Pros: Great sound and picture quality, tough as hell, good cold/warm heat transitions
Cons: 8mb memory stick, replacement parts expensive(mic. mesh is $69 and lens hood is $90 )
Bottom Line: This is an awesome product. The price can be scary but you get your moneys worth in the picture/sound quality, and the DURABILITY.

Pros: pro level video, solid case construction, responsive zoom
Cons: price, a little hefty in size, most shots will need a tripod.
Bottom Line: those looking for something more than family videos will find this a good match. Also look at the Canon GL2.

Pros: Excellent overall. Great for close up wild animal documentaries - quiet operation, excellent zoom capacity.
Cons: Needs a tripod when max. zoom is used - auto focus slow at distance.
