I'm struggling with the decision of whether or not to return this.

I really like all the features, but the display, even on the lowest setting, lights up the room. How in world did this make it to production for an alarm clock? I even put electrical tape on the back and it's still too bright.

This is the second Sony I've purchased this year that couldn't tune AM/FM stations cleanly. What is the problem with that?
