Author's Review
After reading many different reviews of some of the most respected gaming mags, I thought Star Wars Bounty Hunter for the GameCube would be a short graphically unimpressive, and fair at best, GameCube game. But after playing the game for a long time I found out that all of these things were so wrong.
Bounty Hunter is a great game and every bit worthy of the Star Wars name

Concept:
The player takes the role of Jango Fett, in the time between Episode 1 and 2. It starts out with an impressive spaceship scene that one would expect from the next Star Wars film. Basically, the story is about Jango collecting bounties on key figures of the Death Stick narcotic. This eventually leads him to a mysterious cult called the Bando Gora.
Many questions about Jango Fett will be answered in this game. For example, you will learn of the origin of Jango and boba's personal starship, The Slave 1. You will learn how Zam Wesell and Jango became partners. And you will even find out what kind of starship Jango was flying before he obtained the Slave 1.

Gameplay:
I want to start out by saying that I try to never waste my money on short games. I remember reading a review by a well-known gaming mag that Bounty Hunter is short. But I will tell you this is not true. The game features 6 chapters broken up into 18 huge levels, and yes each of these levels is quite large. Not to mention Bounty Hunter is by no means an easy game. You only get 5 continues for each level. In the beginning that's ok, but in the latter levels things get pretty stinking hard. To be fair there are checkpoints scattered in many places in each level. Each of the six chapters takes place in a different planet.
What's so cool is that Jango can do anything he could do in the movie. Of course he's got the jetpack, but he as many other impressive tools at his disposal. His dual blasters, poison darts, flame thrower, missile launcher on his jetpack, and even cluster bombs, are a few of the many ways he can off his enemies. Torching crowds of people, and watching them run around, yell "I'm on fire" and roll on the floor is just crazy. And his missile launcher is just awesome. People just fly everywhere.
There are so many people and things trying to blast you. So much action, not to mention allot of dead enemies. Through the course of the game, Jango will commit mass slaughter on thugs, Dugs, and even Corascant's finest. Bounty Hunter is a good-sized game, and a fun one. But I'll tell you, that Death Stick Factory level is hard as hell.

Graphics:
Despite what the reviewers say, Bounty Hunter for the GC is one good-looking game. Jango Fett looks just like his counterpart in the movie. The GC is capable of displaying a very large amount of different colors on screen at a given time. It is impressive how Jango's armor reflects the different colored lighting.
And the levels themselves are almost gorgeous. First, each of the 18 levels looks completely different. And the graphics are in very high resolution. The impressive display in colors, good texturing, along with the true to Star Wars level design makes for plenty of treats for the eyes. Many of the droids and aliens are featured in this game as extras. Oh but that Corascant level. Now that is one good-looking level. You would have to see it to believe it. It is impressive how if even there are allot of characters and action on screen at a given time, the game still runs smoothly.
I just can't understand why so many critics have bashed this game. I know that it's not as pretty as say Metroid Prime or Resident Evil 0, but it is still a great looking game.

Sound:
Again, I don't understand why the critics bashed the sound. The sound is almost perfect. There is all that great Star Wars music, and plus the voice acting is dead on. What I mean is the voice acting for Jango Fett was performed by the same actor who acted as Jango Fett on the movie. Then you got the great sound effects. The starships in the cutscenes sound just like they do on the new Star Wars films. And I love how it sounds when Jango uses his missile launcher. Don't listen to the critics, the sound effects are worthy of the Star Wars name.

Conclusion:
You see, if I would have listened to the critics I would never known how good this game is. The things they say about this game are just not true. Though I respect their opinions. Try this game yourself, You might be surprised at how fun it is.
